hire local butchers to cut and wrap your meat…When you purchase your pig, Pemberton Meat Company will process it and move it into our storage cooler where it will be ready for butchering. Most customers wish for their pig to be broken down into common cuts and we work with a number of excellent butchers who will cut and wrap the meat into portions of your choice.
How the process works…Once your transaction is completed and you reserve your pig with a deposit, you will receive confirmation by email and a cut preference form (you can also download it from our website). You will specify your cut preferences and send the form back to us. We will coordinate your order with one of our butchers and contact you with the date that your meat will be ready for pick-up.Determining price…
The price you pay today is a nonrefundable deposit for initiating the processing and butchering of a pig. Prices of each pig will differ based on their weight and you can expect to pay between $2,000 to $2,350 for a whole pig.
